Announcing the Plone Conference 2015 selection process

With Plone Conference 2014 drawing near, it is time to begin planning for our next conference in 2015.

The Plone Foundation is soliciting proposals for hosting the 2015 Plone Conference. The selection process is beginning in plenty of time this year in order to allow final selection of the conference venue to occur during the 2014 Plone Conference.

The extended timeline will allow groups and organizations interested in hosting Plone Conference 2015 (or beyond) to work with the team in Bristol during this year's conference in October getting hands on experience.

The Plone Foundation will accept proposals from September 1st to September 28th. The Foundation Board of Directors will review proposals and open those that are viable for voting by Foundation membership between October 13th and October 17th.  The winning proposal will be announced at the end of Plone Conference 2014 in Bristol, UK

The Plone Conference 2015 Call for Proposals, including the full schedule for the process and in-depth requirements for hosting it, can be found at:

The annual Plone Conference brings together developers, integrators and users from throughout the world for a week of training, talks and sprinting.

Plone conferences are also an expression of that community spirit: they are organized by a company, usergroup or other entity with ties to and a history with the Plone community, and are in essence not for profit events.
