Financial statements

This section contains financial statements of the Plone Foundation, including financial activity and position and budgets.

The Statement of Financial Position Comparison, also called an Assets and Liabilities Statement, compares two consecutive fiscal years of bank account balances and intangible assets. The Statement of Activity Comparison, also called a Profit and Loss Statement, compares two consecutive fiscal years of financial transactions. Both of these types of statements reflect past activity.

The budgets are provided by various teams within the Plone Foundation organization and the Board of Directors. They're based on the Statement of Activity Comparison of the previous two years. For example, the Plone Foundation Budget for 2026 was based on the Statement of Activity Comparison for 2024 and 2025, with some forecasting of future income and expenses. The annual budget forecasts how much the Plone Foundation will spend for each designated and approved purpose, allocating funds according to this plan.

Finally, United States and State of Delaware income tax returns are filed annually, according to law.
