Google Summer of Code

Plone and Google Summer of Code

Since 2006, the Plone Foundation has participated in the Google Summer of Code eight times, with a ninth time in 2015 under the auspices of the Python Software Foundation.  Throughout that long and storied history, Plone has benefitted greatly from the contributions of GSOC students.  And many of our students have gone on to become core contributors to Plone as well as productive members of other open source software communities.

Prepare for the 2019 Summer of Code

Plone is applying to participate in the 2019 Summer of Code program. Should we be accepted, student applications will open on March 25, 2019.  Until then, here are some ways you can get started learning about Plone and our community:

We look forward to meeting you!  Welcome to Plone!

2019 Project Ideas

The Plone community has proposed a number of new ideas for the 2019 Summer of Code. We have applied to be an organization in this years GSoC program. Read the list of our official ideas to see if any of them interest you. We have projects ranging from user experience to low-level database APIs. And you can propose your own ideas too!
