Plone Framework Team accepts new members

The Plone Framework Team has accepted five new members to help review proposed improvements to the Plone content management system.

The Plone Framework Team has accepted five new members to help review proposed improvements to the Plone content management system. The framework team works alongside the release manager to review, improve, integrate and promote improvement proposals submitted by other developers in the Plone community.

Marcio Mazza is a software developer working at Interlegis, Brazilian Senate, which promotes a community-based, open source development model to empower democracy. Plone is at the root of that, powering hundreds of sites.

Andrew Mleczko is a ten+ years experienced Python developer and Open Source evangelist focused on agile methodologies. He organized the Polish Plone community (plone.org.pl) in late 2003. Since 2008 he is a Plone consultant at RedTurtle (Ferrara, Italy).

Franco Pellegrini is from Cordoba, Argentina and has been a Plone developer for six years. He is the creator of an IDE for Plone development called PloneIDE, and is co-owner of a web development company called Ravvit which focuses on Plone development.

Johannes Raggam is a software developer from Graz, Austria. He is part of the BlueDyamics Alliance and is the maintainer of the plone.app.event calendaring framework. He likes good design (both software and user experience), simplicity, flexibility, and the free software movement—which is why he likes Plone and Zope.

Nejc Zupan is a Plone consultant based in Slovenia. He has been teaching Plone to fellow students in his part of Europe since 2005 and has co-organized a number of sprints. While still a student, he runs a Python consultancy, NiteoWeb Ltd., which has been doing Plone development and deployment for four years. Lately his biggest contribution to the Plone community is his work on the upcoming plone.api package.

Team members Elizabeth Leddy and Alec Mitchell have stepped down from the team. Continuing members are David Glick (Seattle, USA), Craig Haynal (State College, USA), Ross Patterson (San Francisco, USA), Martijn Pieters (Tønsberg, Norway), Nathan van Gheem (Oshkosh, USA), and Matthew Wilkes (Bristol, England).
