2026 Plone Foundation Board Priorities

What a year it has been!

This past year saw new Plone releases, many new Volto releases, amazing efforts in cookieplone, updates to the roadmap, increasing subscriptions to the Plone Newsletter, overwhelming participation in World Plone Day, another successful GSoC, super-duper fun Plone Tune-Up Days, and a magnificent Plone Conference in Finland!

It truly has been a wonderful time with great friends.

How the Plone Foundation Board serves

The mission of Plone Foundation is to protect and promote Plone.  The role of Plone Foundation Board is to oversee and assist the Plone project and community.

The Board does not manage Plone directly, but rather assists technical teams in working together, and nurtures new participation and leadership within the community. Having as wide a representation and a variety of points of view as possible on the Board makes it easier for the Board to address the overall needs of the diverse Plone community and project.

New year, new goals!

The year ahead in 2026 is already packed with Plone events and we couldn't be more excited!

Reflecting upon the mission from 2025, The Plone Foundation Board has set their sights on carrying that momentum into 2026!
