Plone Tune-Up is about working on Plone issues, together, online. Programming, documentation, marketing, infrastructure, learning Plone, content creation, discussions - all can be done during the day, whenever it suits you in your specific time zone.

Below is a summary of some of the things that were done during the last four tune-ups, and a more complete list is available also.

Plone Tune-Up June 2024

A quiet one! Two participants worked on replacing 14 Hero blocks re https://github.com/plone/plone.org/pull/180, and adding plone.org events for June-December Tune-Up Days.

Plone Tune-Up July 2024

Double the participants than last time :-) Work was done on:

  • General typo fixes and content edits on 2024.ploneconf.org/en
  • Good progress was made on the first edition of the revived Plone newsletter. The first newsletter was sent by the end of this Tune-up day! Next one is planned for Sept.
  • The info page for Headless Plone was discussed, with much brainstorming.

  • adding a new case study to plone.org
  • released plone-sphinx-theme 0.1.15 https://github.com/plone/plone-sphinx-theme/releases/tag/0.0.15
  • Created PR to apply PST to plone.restapi documentation: https://github.com/plone/plone.restapi/pull/1815 and preview: https://plonerestapi--1815.org.readthedocs.build/en/1815/endpoints/aliases.html#adding-new-url-aliases-for-a-page
  • Created and reviewed PR to improve mr.roboto new contributor nag. https://github.com/plone/mr.roboto/pull/162#pullrequestreview-2319264857
  • Created PR to consolidate continuous integration snippets. https://github.com/plone/documentation/pull/1711
  • Fixed show_excluded_items in plone.restapi https://github.com/plone/plone.restapi/pull/1816
  • Changed reimbursement language on https://plone.org/foundation/event-sponsorship, removed reimbursement fields from https://plone.org/foundation/event-sponsorship/sponsorship-report-form and redirected form to marketing
  • Created a draft at https://plone.org/why-plone/plone-as-a-headless-cms
