Didn't think managing your content could get even easier and even more secure? Well, think again! The developers have been hard at work and the next release of Plone is here.
This page describes the new features and improvements of Plone 6.1.3 in a more general way. If you want to skip this and test Plone 6.1.3 right away, check our download page which links to the Technical Release Notes, and Installation instructions for several platforms.
Key highlights in this release include:
- Safer Multilingual edits: You can now edit the text of a top level language folder in a working copy, trying out a new look before you show it to your visitors.
- Content migration: Many improvements to the export and import functionality give you confidence that you can move to Plone with ease.
- Smoother Classic UI: In the Classic UI you will have a much smoother and clearer experience when browsing folders for content to link to, or images to insert.
- Future-ready core: Below the surface, unseen for most users, we keep updating packages to prepare for future improvements.
This release focuses on real quality-of-life upgrades.
Together with this, Volto 18.27.3 gives us a stability and resilience-focused release. The most important updates here include numerous small bugfixes and patches for two security vulnerabilities that were addressed in September 2025.
