Beethoven Sprint 2025 - Report
May 26th -30th, 2025 in Bonn.
This year, we once again had a fantastic Beethoven Sprint in Bonn for the 7th time from May 26th - 30th. With 32 participants in person and at least 4 more Plonistas sprinting remotely, this was the biggest Beethoven Sprint so far. Developers joined us from 12 different countries on 4 different continents, making it the most international Plone sprint in Bonn as well.
Participants joined from Germany, Italy, Romania, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Spain, Turkey, Brazil, India, Mexico, USA representing different backgrounds and skill levels. The sprint focused on Plone 7 frontend, Volto’s successor codenamed “Seven” and key features for Plone 6.2, as well as many other topics such as Developer experience, CoreDev, Nick and much more.
Apart from coding work we also had plenty of discussions and planning sessions, as well as a hacking night with lightning talks. And as activities outside the office we were lucky enough to get a guided tour of the German Aerospace Center in Cologne and organized a small match of football between a few Plonistas.

We would like to thank the Plone Foundation for their continued support of community events like this sprint. We’re also grateful to the broader Plone community and the companies that enable and support their team members so that they can contribute.
