Contributions
I started developing Zope based sites during my last year in the University (2003-2004) when I made some developments regarding Workflow Systems in a product named OpenFlow. Later I joined CodeSyntax where I work since then.
I first started developing Zope applications and later evolved to using Plone. I have used Plone since version 2.1.
I have attended several Plone Conferences (Naples, Washington DC, Budapest, Bristol (twice), San Francisco, Arnhem, Bucharest, Barcelona and Ferrara. In Naples and Washington DC I participated in a panel of Plone in Governments (plonegov) lead by former ZEA, and in Barcelona I gave a talk about the use of Plone in multi-lingual, multi-domain and multi-site websites.
In 2003 I participated in the Munich-leg of the Plone Wine and Beer Sprint, where I helped in the development of plone.app.multilingual and testing the migration process from LinguaPlone.
In 2017 and 2018 I participated in the Beethoven Sprint on Bonn, organized by Kitconcept, and worked on improvements of plone.restapi and specifically contributing multilingual handling endpoints.
I am also in charge of keeping updated the spanish and basque translations of Plone, being both of them two of the top translated languages for Plone.
I have also contributed several bugfixes for several Plone components and also add-on products.
As part of our development process in CodeSyntax I have also led the release process of several add-ons that we have developed for our clients' sites: https://github.com/codesyntax
As a speaker, I have spoken about Plone several times specially in local spaces or in conferences like PyConEs (Pycon Spain), where I presented Plone 5 or PySS (Python San Sebastian) where I talked about the future of Plone talking about the upgrade to python 3 and the REST API.
We (CodeSyntax) also organized several editions of World Plone Day where I explained the novelties and functionalities of Plone.
In 2023 I organized the Plone Conference 2023 in Eibar (Basque Country).
I am member of the Board of Directors of the Plone Foundation for the 2023-2025 term.
