Plone Marketing and Communications Team Gears Up for 2012

2012 will be an exciting year for the Communications team with the development of the new business and marketing-focused plone.com now underway. They'll also be expanding news and events coverage on plone.com AND plone.org through the work of the recently announced Plone Editorial Team.

The plans also include a campaign to promote the individuals and companies that make up the Plone community, representing Plone at more events worldwide, more promotion for user groups and new publications to help promote Plone.

Last year, the team unveiled the Plone Bounty Program, which recognizes efforts to complete projects which have been singled out as needing immediate attention by providing those who take them on with logo advertising on the front page of Plone.org.  They'll be expanding and updating the program this year in response to feedback from the community.

If you are interested in getting involved in marketing and communications, send a note to marketing@plone.org. The team has already expanded with the work going on for plone.com, but they are looking for people with communications skills in a variety of languages and individuals interested using their design, writing, and marketing experience to help the community.  You don't need any programming experience to make a huge impact.
