Archetypes 1.3.0 final released

The Archetypes development team proudly presents Archetypes 1.3.0.

Archetypes 1.3.0 final is released. It's a framework for the development of new Content Types in Zope/CMF/Plone. It features Schema-driven automatic form generation, simple integration with rich content types, and a lower entry bar to the complex requirements Zope places on new content objects. ["Read more about Archetypes":http://plone.org/documentation/archetypes] The bundle includes 'Archetypes', 'PortalTransforms', 'MimetypesRegistry', 'generator', and 'validation'. Download Download Archetypes at "sourceforge":http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=75272&package_id=75683&release_id=271833 You'll find more information on Archetypes downloads and repositories at "Archetypes Documentation":http://plone.org/documentation/archetypes/download Major changes since 1.2: * Increased security * New reference implementation with annotation objects on the source object including metadata * A seperated MimetypesRegistry * Hundreds of smaller and bigger fixes to Archetypes and all dependency products. * Fixed at least three possible memory leaks. Now the reference count for all objects keeps stable even after several thousands of requests. * All attributes starting with at are reserved for internal purposes. See "HISTORY.TXT":http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=271833 for a complete list of the changes since 1.3 beta 4. Thanks to all contributors! We started a list of all the contributors, but it's impossible to give everyone a fair mention. So forgive us if you have to look at the HISTORY.txt file and CVS/SVN-logs. But anyway, one person needs to be singled out: Christian 'Tiran' Heimes. He did a really amazing job to push Archetypes to this release. A great thanks also to all submitters of bugreports and fixes. Testing is a very important aspect of a project like Archetypes, and it is at least as important as development. Bug Reports If you find any bugs in this release and they are not already reported: Please submit them to the "bug-tracker":http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=75272&atid=543430. If you can provide a patch too, this is double-plus good. ;) -- **Jens Klein** aka jensens, "jens.klein@jensquadrat.com":http://jensquadrat.com/about/contact/
