"Symposium Page":http://plone.org/events/regional/nola05 The Plone Symposium's early bird registeration will be extended to allow everyone to get the best price possible. We have heard from several organizations that found out about the symposium late and are caught in red tape and need a few extra days. We will offer the Early Bird rates until July 7th, 2005. After that, we will restore the rates to the full price until the symposium starts. Currently there are more than one hundred attendees coming to the conference. This will be the only 'pure' Zope/Plone symposium in North America; focused solely on Zope/Plone audience ranging from beginner to advanced. You can register for the North American PLone Symposium at: "Symposium Registration":https://www.enfoldsystems.com/conferencereg.html Audience The conference has been scheduled in such a way to ensure that both developers, consultants, and business managers will be able to benefit from the full duration of the conference. Previous conferences the business audience has not been a major focus -- with Plone Symposium 2005, this has changed. Lectures A well respected intellectual property lawyer will weigh in on his experience with Open Source licensing. A Rice Professor will talk about brand identify and OSS communities. Many case studies will be offered and and over 30 hours of technical talks. - "Tutorial Page":tutorials - "Talks Page":talks Marketing Workshop A working 'marketing workshop' will be the first experience where all case studies at the symposium will be translated into a digital format and prep'ed for official case studies for the Plone CMS. The process will be applied to future case studies and we urge consulting firms to come to the symposium to share their experiences. Helping out with the marketing workshop will increase the awarness of your company and extend the Plone brand into your market! Technical Talks Of course there will be no shortage of presentations that are focused on technology. ZODB Tips and Tricks, Taxonomy Building, Caching Strategies, Windows COM integration, Best Practices of Zope/Plone development and a plethora of other presentations. See more, "Symposium Talks":http://plone.org/events/regional/nola05/talks Social Events All days will conclude with a outting to a local venue in New Orleans. The symposium will end on time and there will be a place pre-arranged for everyone to eat and a time to meet up at another location to talk and listen to some legendary New Orleans music. Plenty of time to meet and talk to other interested parties. - Looking for a contractor/consulting firm? There is no better place to look in North America than this venue. - Looking for potential clients? 30% of the first plone symposium was composed of people interested in and looking into the possibility of services. - Looking to learn? Look at the talks/tutorials list. I promise you will fill your brain to the rim in the day light hours; if you cant get enough - there will be plenty of people interested in talking in the evenings about technical musings that interest them.
