Nineteen worthy non-profit organizations are vying for the chance to win a free Plone website to support and promote their cause. How can you help? Cast your vote now!

As a part of the upcoming Plone Immersive Training Experience, non-profits were invited to apply for a free Plone website. Voting began on May 24th, and will end on June 5th. Cast your vote by Friday June 5th, 11:59p ET! The winner will be announced on June 15th, 2009. To find out more about contenders and cast your vote, go to http://immersive-training.net/non-profits.

The winning non-profit website will be based on the Plone open source content management system and may include features such as an event calendar, a slideshow, a news section, embedded video files, a staff/people directory, and more. Working on a real Plone project for a non-profit organization will give meaning to the project and foster attendees' attention.

The Plone Immersive Training Experience, hosted by Six Feet Up from September 10-12, in Indianapolis, IN, is designed to engage participants in real problem-solving activities that take them from initial setup to final deployment of a finished website.  Participants will get a first hand introduction to Plone with the help of fourteen on-site Mentors hand-selected from the international Plone Community for their expertise in Plone, leadership and teaching skills. The Mentors will direct ten workshops dedicated to core elements of any common Plone development project.
