PortalTransforms 1.0a1 released !

I'm pleased to announce the first alpha release of the PortalTransforms Zope product. It provides two new CMF tools in order tomake MIME types based transformations on the portal contents and so aneasy to way to plugin some new transformations for previouslyunsupported content types. You will find more info in the package'sREADME and docs directory.This product is part of the Archetypes project, but the onlyrequirement to use it is to have a CMF based site. If you are usingArchetypes, this package replaces the transform package.

Lalo and Sidnei, two absolutely phenomonial programmers have backported Z3 i18n services to Zope and in the process created their own 'drop-in' versions of ZPT!

Almost there! We need to squash the rest of these bugs, address some usability issues, make a few CSS changes and we will be at 1.0.

What should Plone be?

When plone grows up. It should *know* what it is. Unlike ZOPE which suffers from multiple personalities. Plone should learn from this and not become feature laden. It should focus on one area and do that area *really* well. What should that area be?
