Plone Foundation Welcomes New Members for 2024
The Plone Foundation welcomes new members after confirmation by the Foundation's Board of Directors on October 31, 2024.
Membership in the Foundation is conferred for significant and enduring contributions to the Plone project and community. The Plone Foundation Membership Committee recommended each applicant for their ongoing contributions to Plone.
Gildardo Bautista García Cano
Gildardo has been involved in the Plone community since the late 2000’s and has organized multiple World Plone Day events in Mexico. He has given talks at multiple Plone Conferences and Plone Symposia. Gildardo has made contributions to FacultyStaffDirectly and helps with answering questions on community.plone.org.
Gildardo works at the Mathematics Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City.
Astrid Beyers
Astrid is the co-owner of Juizi, a company that builds and maintains Plone websites since the mid-2000’s. She has been serving on the Plone Marketing Team since July 2023 and was instrumental in resurrecting the Plone Newsletter. Astrid regularly attends Plone Tune Up Days, writes news items for plone.org, and assists with Plone's social media posts. Her presentations at World Plone Day 2024 and Plone Conference 2024 are must-sees!
Astrid lives in South Africa.
Laurent Dany
Laurent has attended 11 Plone Conferences, was an active member of the IRC community in the mid-2000’s, and has helped improve documentation for such projects as Mastering Plone training and CMFEditions. At conferences, you can often find him sharing photos and tweeting about Plone!
Laurent lives in Fentange, Luxembourg.
Paul Grunewald
Paul has given presentations and lightning talks at multiple Plone Conferences and was one of the main organizers for Plone Tagung Dresden 2020. He has participated in multiple sprints and was conferred the Most Productive Sprinter trophy in Tokyo 2018! Paul is the author of collective.patchwatcher and worked on collective.xkey. When time allows, Paul also assists users on community.plone.org.
Paul lives in Germany and works as fullstack developer for the Dresden University of Technology.
Jakob Kahl
Jakob is an integral member of the Security and Volto teams and has helped organize multiple Beethoven Sprints. He has given the "Plone 6 Volto and React" training at multiple Plone Conferences, served as a mentor for multiple Google Summer of Code programs, and offered presentations at multiple World Plone Days.
Jakob lives in Bonn, Germany and works as a software developer at kitconcept.
Laurent Lasudry
Laurent began to work with Zope / Plone in 2006 at Affinitic and has attended 13 Plone conferences since then. He has participated in 5+ sprints, and helped organize multiple World Plone Day events and Belgium's Plone.be day. Laurent has contributed to nearly 20 packages & add-ons to Plone. For the past 2 years, he has been developing solutions for iMio, leading to 50 new Plone 6 installations and hundreds more to come!
Laurent lives in Belgium.
Peter Mathis
Peter is the co-founder of Kombinat Media Gestalter Gmbh. He has been designing Plone websites and intranets since 2004. Peter has attended multiple conferences and strategic sprints, is a member of the Classic UI team, and actively engages in discussions on community.plone.org. He has worked on various core packages such as Classic-UI (Bootstrap) and Mockup as well as add-ons like plonetheme.barceloneta.
Peter lives in Vorarlberg/Austria.
Benoît Suttor
Benoit started working with Plone in 2011 and has been deploying Plone with Docker since the early days of Docker. He has contributed many packages to the collective and Plone core (114 projects on pypi). Benoît has been an regular participant in the Sorrento sprints, as well as attending multiple Plone Conferences.
Benoît lives in Liege, Belgium and works as a DevOps engineer at iMio.
