Cris Ewing

The Plone community is delighted to have its own Cris Ewing be a keynote speaker at PyCon 2016

PyCon is the largest annual gathering for the users and developers of the open-source Python programming language. PyCon 2016 will take place in Portland, Oregon, USA, from May 28th to June 5th.

Ewing, a veteran web application developer who has been a member of the Plone Foundation Board of Directors, will be representing the Plone community at this prestigious event.

Ewing says, “I’m ecstatic to have a chance to speak about Plone at PyCon. It’s a tremendous opportunity, and I can’t wait to share my pride in the software and in the community that works so hard to create it.”

Ewing's keynote will be a technical talk on how the evolution of Plone over the years has led to the new features in Plone 5.  It will focus on the relationship between Plone and Python and the ways in which they exerted influence on each other.

The Plone community thanks Brandon Rhodes and the PyCon organizing committee for the opportunity to share the 15 year story arc of Plone.

We hope to see you all in Portland!
