Ross Patterson chosen as Plone Foundation member

The Plone Foundation Board of Directors has announced the selection of Ross Patterson as the newest member of the Plone Foundation.

Ross is a member of the Plone 4.1 and previously the Plone 4.0 framework team, a long term contributor to Plone Core, and the creator/maintainer of several community add-ons.  In addition to participating in a number of sprints and conferences as far back as 2006, he did the bulk of the coding and database migration for merging plone.net into plone.org during the Cioppino sprint earlier this year.  He also had a hand in preparing for the upcoming Plone Conference 2011 in San Francisco this November.

The Plone Foundation is the organization formed in 2004 to serve as a supporting organization for Plone and its community. Members of the Foundation are chosen by the Foundation's Membership Committee on the basis of merit - specifically that they have made significant, enduring contributions which benefit the general Plone community.

The Foundation is happy to welcome Ross as our newest member.
