Plone Conference 2011 in San Francisco Begins Two Weeks from Today

There's still time to get in on the action by signing up for the annual Plone Conference which kicks off two weeks from today. Outstanding training, a slate of excellent talks, and a bunch of great events awaits!

Plone Conference 2011 gets underway just two weeks from today.  And there is still time for you to sign up and attend the conference yourself.

A cadre of dedicated volunteers have been hard at work arranging talks, speakers, venues, equipment ... and, of course, the party.

Still on the fence?

This year's keynote will be "

You're designing experiences (and you didn't even know it)

" – given by P.J.  Onori. He has worked as both a designer and developer for the past seven years, most notably with Adaptive Path, Method and Current TV. He has done work for organizations such as the United Nations, Samsung, Adobe and TED.com.

Check out the schedule of talks that will be given during the conference. Its a winning lineup including some of the people who started Plone as well as movers and shakers who've only recently joined the community.  We've got speakers from around the globe, and attendees to match.

There is also space left in each of the training classes planned for the two days before the conference.

Among the diversions that will complement the talks, training, open spaces and sprints are some excellent after-hours events.

Opening Night Dinner. On the opening night, we encourage everyone to walk over and join us all at Belden Place. We have coordinated with the owners of all of the restaurants to prepare for an extra large crowd on a first come first serve basis (it is recommended that you make reservation online). Family and conference goers alike are welcome.

There are 7 different restaurants, from Catalan to Italian to French in a wonderful outdoor setting. For full details, please see: www.belden-place.com/

The Annual Plone Shindig will take place Saturday night from 7 pm to 2 am at Treasure Island.  Details are being kept under wraps at this point - but expect it to be EPIC.  Transportation between the conference venue and the party will be provided for attendees.

The Better Half Track. We encourage you to bring your family to this year's conference and enjoy the city. There are plenty of things for them to do while you are focusing on Plone and we will be coordinating events during the conference days for them. Please sign up here to get emails about the better half track events.

Also, partners are more than welcome to any "after school" events. Kids are welcome to everything except the party Saturday night, which will be 21+.

It's still not too late to take part in Plone Conference 2011.

Register now and we'll see you in San Francisco
