OpenID Foundation awards bounty to Plone

The OpenID Foundation today announced that it had awarded three code bounties, $5000 each, to Plone, Drupal and dotnetnuke for implementing OpenID support in their respective products. The announcement was made today during the State of Lightning Talks at the O’Reilly Open Source Conference in Portland, OR.

The upcoming "Plone 3.0":/products/plone/releases/3.0 ships with OpenID support included, and the "Plone Team":/about/team has been working with the OpenID team to improve OpenID, especially testing its Python bindings. Huge thanks go out to everyone involved, in particular Wichert Akkerman, who lead the OpenID implementation and integration work for Plone 3.0.
