Summary

This demonstration will discuss how Plone based tools were used to aid in the conservation and preservation of a particular cultural heritage site in China. The site, the Shuilu’an temple in Shaanxi province is a free standing Ming temple near Xian. I will discuss the production process in acquiring very high resolution images, floor plans, 3-D maps and models, and how Plone annotation tools were used to facilitate the markup and cataloging of the data by our content experts and associates in China, while the data and production facilites were resident at Northwestern University. The prototype presentation interface authored in zope3 will be shown to articulate potential future directions.
