Recommended accommodations, organized by neighborhood. Approximate daily rates listed.

Neighborhoods 

We recommend accommodations in three primary areas:

• Downtown - The most convenient location. Lots of attractions and nightlife, but expensive accommodations (except for Hotel Harrington).
• Dupont Circle - The second most convenient location. Lots of nightlife. Some reasonably priced accommodations (along with more expensive ones). This is the recommended neighborhood for conference socializing.
  
• Woodley Park/Adams Morgan - Fairly close to Dupont Circle. Reasonably priced accommodations. Lots of nightlife.

You may also want to consider:

• Takoma Park - Far away (but not that far, approximately 1/2 hour on the metro). Features an inexpensive, but very nice hostel.
  
• Crystal City - Near the airport. Some nightlife. Some reasonably priced accommodations (along with more expensive ones).
• Rosslyn - Further away than Crystal City, but still near the airport. Some reasonably priced accommodations (along with more expensive ones).
