World Plone Day is Wednesday, April 27th

The World Plone Day (WPD) is a worldwide event to promote and educate the worldwide public about of the benefits of using Plone.

World Plone Day (WPD) is an event held by Plone community around the world to promote the benefits of using Plone. Indeed, the WPD is much more than a single event, is a series of events held by companies, organizations, user groups and individuals around the world.

According to Andre Nogueira, who is leading this year's WPD, gave some highlights of the upcoming events.

Jakarta (indonesia) will tell to newbies and web designers how to change the default Theme.

In Belo Horizonte (Brazil) the main topic is how to use DIazo.Tokyo (Japan), Zurich (Switzerland) and Leipzig (Germany) are planning introductory talks.San Jose (Costa Rica) is planning a introductory Plone event. Since there is so little known about Plone in this region they want to increase the awareness of Plone. They will illustrate the power of Plone and what it can do for organizations in this region of Latin America.In São Paulo (Brazil) the focus is on Plone content editors. They will see talks about Accessibility and SEO for Plone. After, they will take part in a focus goup about home page editing. The main idea is to specify a new "content panels" like product.Bologna (Italy) will  host a event with a lots of use cases.The Los Angeles (USA) agenda will include updates on Plone projects from several departments at UCLA.Munich (Germany) has the most complete program, with introductory talks, case studies, tech talks and a party after the event.
