The new UWE portal is built on Plone : under a clean site design it provides advanced search function, RSS aggregation and multimedia; it also features special content types to manage the UWE Bases de données, and intranet tools for the associates.

After more than twenty years of uninterrupted growth, Ghent University is now one of the most important institutions of higher education and research in the Low Countries. Ghent University yearly attracts over 30,000 students, with a foreign student population of over 2,200 EU and non-EU citizens. Our institutional Plone portal consists of a central website with Dutch and English sections, and accomodates a series of websites of faculties, faculty departments and other related institutions. Ghent University's website contains more than 18,000 folders, documents and files and processes more than half a million users per month. More than 130 content editors contribute to the contents of the website on a daily basis.

Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij (VMM)
The Flemish Environment Agency (Vlaamse Milieumaatschappij, VMM) plays a central role in integrated water policy. VMM monitors water quality and quantity, manages water systems, collects a levy on water pollution and groundwater abstraction, provides advice on environmental permits and takes care of the planning and supervision of water treatment infrastructure. Furthermore VMM monitors air quality and keeps an inventory of emissions. VMM also draws up the Flemish State of the Environment Reports (Milieurapport Vlaanderen, MIRA), makes policy proposals, and participates in international environmental policy.
