This site is a great example of how your website can reflect and support the growth of your organization. Kim McGuire, Director of WNC Nonprofit Pathways, has just completed the third iteration of their site which is a portal of information for nonprofit development in western North Carolina. Moving from a standard layout to a portlet home page enables the site to provide more information above-the-fold in a neatly organized style. The interactive accordion portlet in the middle of the page succinctly presents the five step action plan for organizational development with supporting advice forum, news and events in one quick-to-view-and-use layout. The WNC Consultant Directory, created in phase two in collaboration with Plone programmer Mikko Ohtamaa of Finland, continues to grow as a resource both for nonprofits who are searching for consultants with specific expertise and for consultants who can become members of the directory by logging in and creating their profiles.
