WALIS Forum is one of the premier international GIS events in Australia, attracting over 800 delegates from a diverse range of professions. Held every 18 months, the Forum provides an opportunity to address issues related to the all aspects of location-based information. The Forum was established in 1984 and has developed into one of the largest and most well known geographic information events in Australia. It now draws over 800 local, national and international delegates who are involved in the use of geographic information from a variety of sectors including state and local government, the private sector, academia and the community.
