The NERC Environmental Bioinformatics Centre is a research centre that develops software/tools and provides bioinformatics support services for the NERC environmental genomics community of scientist and researchers. It is also involved in the standards and ontologies. It is well-know for the development of Bio-Linux for researchers involved in bioinformatics all around the world.
