Established in the 1840s and holding 2 royal warrants, Charles Farris Ltd is one of the UK's leading providers of high quality church supplies.
The site is built on top of Plone to give the content management capabilities and ease of administration that the client required. The e-commerce system was designed specifically to fit in with the Charles Farris order process, working with unique customer account codes. Other features of the system include accommodation of multiple VAT codes and shipping price bands, and a 'repeat order' function for large account holders.
Intrinsic to the design of the backend system is the ability to present content from the site with different branding, to allow the company to use the same product data with different brands for other markets.
