The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna is one of the oldest and at the same time
most advanced European art universities. In recent years, it has been
subject to a transformation process that, taking its historic significance
into account, has been aimed at adjusting its programs to the latest
conditions and requirements for art and culture.
The current offer comprises programs in the fields of fine arts,
architecture, stage design, secondary school teaching degrees, conservation
and restoration, and the more recent study programs for doctorates in
philosophy, natural sciences, and technical sciences.
