ZOpenArchives : OAI implementation for Zope, transforms Zope or Plone into an OAI Data Provider and Aggregator


This product is an OAI implementation for the Zope server.
zOAI can use eXist database as repository that provides support of any kind of MetaData schema.

It provides the following components :

  • Zope OAI Server : Which will contain ZCatalog Harvesters
  • Open Archives Aggregator : Which will contain OAI Harvesters
  • OAI Harvester : Which will do the harvest from external OAI Servers
  • ZCatalog Harvester : Which will provide ZCatalog records as OAI records
  • eXist OAI Aggregator : Which will contain eXist OAI Harvesters
  • eXist OAI Harvester : Which will do the harvest from external OAI Servers inside an eXist DB repository
  • eXist OAI Repository : Which will provide eXist ressources as OAI records
