ViewVC++

ViewVC++ is a set of tool to integrate ViewVC (a.k.a. ViewCVS) in Plone and easily access as many CVS repositories as you want. This product lets you wrap ViewVC within Plone with no need to use frames or any other HTML awfulness.

Project Description

ViewVC++ is a set of three tools:


1) An enhanced version of ViewVC 1.0, with these new features:
- support for Plone cookie recognition, thus getting the name of the logged-in user
- support for CVS-passwd reading, thus enabling a per-user access
- multi-site support, thus letting you have a single Zope-instance with different Plone sites
- some other minor changes

So, the enhanced ViewVC can get the name of the user who is currently logged in Plone and check which passwd contain an entry with the same username: in this way the user will be allowed to access only che CVS roots he could normally see.


2) An enhanced version of mxmProxyTool 1.1, with these new features:
- support for cookies management (via ClienCookie of CookieLib libraries)
- support for HTML <form> tags
- support for tar.gz file download
- some other minor changes

So, the enhanced mxmProxyTool can fully wrap ViewVC within Plone. You can even download tar.gz files with your CVS code.


3) A ViewVC product for Plone

This is just a page template that brings a front-end for all other tools.
