We have a site where we have a couple of central "archive" like folders. For example a news archive containing a couple of thousand news items in it.

When using the link pop-up, it tries to show a folder listing of the current folder. Due to the amount of items in the folder this is pretty slow.

In general we rarely want to link to items in the same folder, as these are already reachable via the normal navigation.

It would be nice if the pop-ups could default to opening at the root of the site (INavigationRoot) instead of in the current folder. This would probably need to be an option, much like the current "rooted" option that limits the pop-ups to the current folder.

I am moving all TinyMCE issues to the Plone tracker (trac) but unfortunately I can't copy them over so they have to be resubmitted. If you think this issue is still valid (which I think it is) could you please resubmit it at https://dev.plone.org/plone/newticket and select "Visual Editor" in the "Component"-dropdown?

No responses can be added.
