Danny's original comments on 2.0beta:

This release contains changes to make SimpleBlog work with Plone 2.5. Only one extra feature is added (cross-posting) mainly because I want to keep it simple. Still no fancy backlinking/tracking/whatevering. No bloggin APIs too because they all su.k (and so are the clients).

Some changes have been made in the html markup of the skins to make it more standard.  Some bugs are fixed.

 

If you encounter errors make sure to run Zope in debug mode and report in the tracker whatever Zope spits out.

 

Nick's comments on 2.0 final release:

SimpleBlog 2.0 now been running on University of Leicester's live 2.5.3 Plone site  since mid-Sep '07 and got plenty of usage without any problems reported...  yet. ;-)  We successfully upgraded from SimpleBlog 1.2.1 on Plone 2.1.3 with plenty of existing blogs, but an archetypes schema upgrade was needed during migration.

This version is not expected to work with Plone 3.0, however work is underway towards a 3.0-compatible version.
