I'm not able to inser/comment issues in the trac above, so I wriite here.

I got the same error using the last eggified version iw.fss 2.7.6. FSS is a critical part of Plone. We rely on it... This bad bug has been opened 8 month ago!

If some problems make the fix of this impossible, I really think that the site2 strategy must be disabled!!!

I tested the bug using a plone 3.1.7 buildout on a CentOS linux version.

Steps to reproduce:: I was able to brake the fss.cfg in the site2 folder simply using apache benchmark:

ab -n 50 -c 5 http://127.0.0.1:8080/plonesite/content/
