UPDATE We're working out the licensing, where to host the repository, and more...

The basic idea for PrivateReserve is to allow users to reserve resources for a specific timeframe. The system conflict checks and only allows a resource to be reserved if it is not already reserved for any portion of the timeframe the user requests. Resources can be grouped into different "labels" that can each have sets of "attributes". There is also the concept of a Category where unique sets of resources live independent of each other.

Managers are able to administer the reservations, potentially canceling, creating, or re-assigning reservations. Rules can be applied to resources that change their behavior and/or availability. Managers will (future) be able to generate reports about the state of the resources.

That's the short answer.
