Plone SmoothGallery

Another javascript based picture gallery/slideshow product.

Project Description

  PloneSmoothGallery is a simple slideshow product for Plone.

  It is based upon Jonathan Schemoul´s SmoothGallery javascript project.

  Using mootools v1.0, this javascript gallery and slideshow system allows you to have simple and smooth (cross-fading...)
  image galleries, slideshows, showcases and other cool stuff on your website...

  Important Notes:

 

  * This plone product is just a quick hack for my own needs but it works fine for me.

  * This is Beta code so please test before using on a production system!   (Feedback welcome!)

  * At the moment not all functionality  of  the original smoothgallery project is enabled...  (maybe some helpers out there? ;-) )

For all the people who added issues on the issue tracker!

I´m really really sorry, but at the moment i do not have the time & capacity to do any further developing :-(

I will continue as soon as possible...

For the meantime use some of the products which use SmoothGallery too (e.g. plonegalleryview or PloneSlideshoeFolder ...)

Requirements:

  Archetypes >= 1.3
  Plone >= 2.5.x ( Tested only with  Plone 2.5.1! )

Installation:

  Use the normal Plone way.
  1. put PloneSmoothGallery folder in your Products folder and restart zope.
  2. then install PloneSmoothGallery with the portal_quickinstaller in ZMI or use "Add/Remove Products" in Plone site setup.

Usage:

  * Add a SmoothGallery via "add item..." menu.

  * Then add / upload some images.

  You are ready...

  Notice: You must publish the SmoothGallery and all images inside to show all correct! If you forget to publish an image it will not be displayed!
