PloneMall is an e-commerce framework for Plone 2 CMS.

Project Description

PloneMall is a complete e-commerce framework for Plone. PloneMall framework is designed to be flexible, plugable and extensible. It uses several interfaces in a fully object oriented approach.

PloneMall is not planned to be an out-of-the-box shop solution, but you can easily create a shop with it. If you are a developer and you need to develop an e-commerce application, you are in the right place.

Component Architeture

PloneMall is currently divided into nine zope products, two core products and seven plugable components.

Development

PloneMall's design is UML-model driven. All source code is generated using ArchGenXML, a tool that reads an UML model and generates source code for Archetypes framework. The UML models are made using Poseidon Community Edition. You can install the software to take an deeper look into the model.

You could access our Requirements Collector to read about the main project goals and concepts and access our Bugs Collector to report defects.

We're building strong on interfaces using an own registry. PloneMallRegistry is the heart of PloneMall extensible component architecture. If you dont like our default implementation for some component, you could write your own component following PloneMall defined interfaces and register it.

Licence:

PloneMall is under GNU GPL version 2, or later.
