Motivation
As the amount of content in a Plone site grows, conceptualizing the breadth and depth of its content becomes more difficult, and important.
There are a number of interesting ways to think about this problem, including
- cnet's big picture visualization tool, for visualizing related content
- Simpler graphiz based visualizations of Keywords, seen here in a mediawiki plugin
- History flow tool for visualizing the changes in a page over time on a wiki
- Other ideas, emerging within the social tagging communities
Proposal
AT currently ships with optional support for Graphiz visualization of references. Projects could involve cleaning up this ui and improving it to make it useful and usable to the users, not just the developers.
Projects could also involve working on a client side svg library to support these kinds of visualizations within Plone, for the variety of applications described above.
