As CMS sites get bigger, the need for efficient and flexible navigation
increases. Plone 2.1 provides many significant enhancements,
including:
- A faster, more attractive navigation tree
- Configuration of search results
- Warning when leaving a page with unsaved work
- Automatic site map generation
- Configurable folder home pages
Plone 2.1 introduces a new implementation for the dynamically-generated site navigation. that makes navigation is much faster, more scalable, and more flexible. Site administrators can now easily control the appearance of items in the navigation with only a mouse click.
In addition, Plone 2.1 ships with a full-featured, flexible site map that provides user- and security-specific sitemaps of sites — without any coding or maintenance. The site map is also color-coded by state, making it easy to do a quick, visual security inspection of your site.
