Add/Remove products is now a two-click operation
Plone 2 makes it easy to add and remove add-on Products in your Plone site. Just place the downloaded add-on in the correct directory and install it from the new Product management section.
Extended Error Log functionality
Plone 2 enables more detailed control of the error log and debugging facilities in your site. It's now easy to keep track of any problems occuring in your site or site applications at any time.
Product configuration
Products can add items to the control panel, creating one single centralized place for site administrators to configure their site.
Administration of users and groups
Plone 2 adds full support for groups and user management through the new Plone control panel.
Members can now belong to groups and can inherit roles from their groups. In addition, groups can be members of groups and inherit roles as well, allowing for sophisticated setups.
By using add-on products like exUserFolder or LDAPUserFolder, group information, like user information, can come from any authentication source, including LDAP, ActiveDirectory or a relational database.
Group workspaces
Groups can have a workspace, showing documents relating to the collaborative work of the group.
