Centralized storage and management for media content
Project Description
The Media DB project was developed as a central repository for media files and documents, that were to be used in multiple web sites.
The project not so much implements a media server handling the media content itself (e.g. video streaming), but focuses on storing files in a central place and making them available to possibly remotely running plone sites. One could think of it as a microscopic version of Wikimedia Commons for Plone.

Released Jan 18, 2006 — tested with Plone 2.0.5
Initial version as in production use for the customer sponsoring this development effort. There still needs to be quite some work done in terms of documentation and easy installation (apart from features, of course).
