Where do you need a map more than on your mobile phone? The gomobile.mobile product (http://pypi.python.org/pypi/gomobile.mobile/) is great and I expect will become widely used. You can of course put a link to a google map but this takes you off site which is a hassle for lots of people who don't know there's a back button on their phone.
