In the README it says, "Each list maintains its own catalog featuring a full text index of messages." How do I do a full-text search on these messages? The messages don't appear in the search results when I use the LiveSearch. Perhaps this was intentional to avoid contaminating the site search with hundreds/thousands of email messages?

Exactly, polluting the general catalog is undesirable for most usecases, and will result in poor overall site/search performance. There's currently no search ui, though a full search API is available (and is described by an interface).

ahh.. that makes sense. when do you expect a search ui will be made available? I'm guessing it will be something like the search tool on the PloneHelpCenter?

At the moment it's not high on my priority list (though it could become important at any moment of course). It should be quite easy to make one though (formlib or no). You could probably make a pretty nice one without too much trouble. ;-) Patches/commits welcome.
