When sending an email with a large attachment, it would be nice to automatically strip out the attachment, host it on the web somewhere, and insert a link into the document pointing to that hosted location.
Where to host it is the tricky part, but as Alec mentioned, we may be able to store the file on a configurable filesystem location on the server, and then have the inserted url point there. This is not necessarily part of listen, but should happen during the initial processing of the smtp2zope gateway script.
This takes the load off of having everybody download huge attachments, and it makes it nice to archive.
