The Clipboard aims to provide a base for many action adapters to manipulate or just use the selections of the clipboard.

For example:

You can use the clipboard to select some pictures in your site and then use the plonekeywordmanager, which comes as an adapter, to add some keywords to all selected images or use the massrenamer adapter to rename all selected images at ones.
