Using IMS Transport

To use IMS Transport, go to any folder and click the IMS
tab.
Importing an IMS File
IMS Transport is able to upload a zip file exported by WebCT/Blackboard IMS packages as well as certain other types of IMS packages. If you are unsure about what type of IMS file needs to be uploaded, use “default.” IMS packages can vary significantly in configuration, making it impossible for IMS Transport to support all of them. Incompatible IMS packages do not damage Plone, so there is no harm in trying to import a package with questionable compatibility.

Select what type of zip file you are uploading. Then click “Choose File” and find the .zip
file from your local drive. Once you’ve
found the file, click “Upload.”

It is not uncommon to find errors when importing an IMS content package. These errors include missing objects, missing or mismatched names and formatting problems. You should look over the entire folder to make sure everything imported correctly.
Exporting an IMS File

To export a folder as an IMS content package, choose a filename and then click save. Then select a place for the file to be saved on the local drive.
