First release of HumaineWorkshop to the Plone Collective. This product allows to create workshop/special issue announcements in a Plone portal. It features an easy-to-use wizard which simplifies workshop creation to four simple steps, portlets for upcoming deadlines or workshops and is configurable with a preferences configlet.
HumaineWorkshop is an add-on product for the Plone content management system that allows to extend a Plone portal by a new datatype that can save workshop or special issue data including title, call for papers or deadline. It handles input of the necessary data by asking the user some easy questions in a wizard-like interface and then creates the corresponding Workhop object.
The product code has been developed in 2006 and is actively used to this day on the HUMAINE portal. It has been released to the Plone Collective in late 2007 so that others can use it as well, hoping that some may find it useful. HumaineWorkshop is available free of charge under a BSD-style license (cf. page 6 of the documentation for more information).
IMPORTANT: please read the documentation or the README.txt before you use HumaineWorkshop. New workshop objects can be created using the workshop wizard ONLY, the Workshop type will NOT show under "Add item". This is by design to ensure that all workshop objects are stored in a central place and to avoid portal users from creating "nominal member" workshop objects.
