Enfold Server 5.0 (May 12, 2010)
5.0 version of Enfold Server is the FINAL release of our "Plone for Windows" distribution. It utilizes the buildout mechanism, and is intended to provide current Enfold Server customers a simpler migration path to the core Plone platform. The Enfold Server Windows installer is a buildout-based version of Plone 3.3.x with the tools and features previously available in Enfold Server. Please note: this installer no longer includes the installation wizard and “encontrol” management interface.

Enfold Server 5.0 is now being released as an open-source version of Plone for the Windows platform.
The various components that were part of Enfold Server have been eggified and individually released under the ZPL open source license. All of these eggs are currently available for your buildout from the Enfold Systems' public distribution server. This includes: a caching manager, an error reporting tool, ifilter support, LDAP/AD support, file templates, Enfold Desktop support, Zope ADO database adapter and support for authentication profiles.
Enfoldsystems still offers paid support options. This product includes exhaustive documentation, including troubleshooting information, best practices and tips for setting up user authentication.
The server product has been tested to work with Enfold Proxy, (a proxying/caching manager for IIS) and Enfold Desktop, a tool for uploading multiple items from Windows Explorer.
