EasyShop

An E-Commerce solution for Plone supporting a shopping basket, stock quantities, differing delivery and taxation rules based on criteria, product variants and Paypal payment processing

Project Description

EasyShop is probably the most fully featured native Plone E-Commerce solution currently available in open source. Featuring support for all of the most commonly used E-Commerce tools, EasyShop is also internationalisable and allows a choice of currency for the shop. As it was developed primarily in Europe, its support for European style product vs. service vs. electronically supplied service differential or withholding taxation and wildly varying shipping costs according to destination and package weight or volumetric weight is second to none - though all of these features can be disabled for countries such as the US.

A particularly useful feature is EU VIES VAT number validation support which allows zero rated VAT transactions between VAT registered customers and automatic VAT registration number validation. This feature is absolutely essential for B2B intra-EU sales and is a feature normally reserved for E-Commerce solutions costing thousands of euro a year.

Easyshop ought to work for Plone v2.x, definitely works for Plone v3.x and there is a branch containing an in progress port to Plone v4.x.
