e-LECT (Plone Learning Management)
Learning Mangement extension for Plone. Features: SCORM support - Import and Export of IMS ContentPackages, User Tracking based on SCORM, Roles-based approach (Moderator, participant) in closed learning groupspaces
Project Description
The e-LECT initiative is a project with the scope to extends Plone so taht it meets typical requirements that often appply to educational scenarios. Thus e-LECT offers features that allow the integration odf IMS Content Packages s new content type. Learner progress can be tracked using a scorm compliant runtime environment. The concept of (closed) group spaces is uses to assign different roles like moderator and learner to the stakeholders in such a scenario.
The initiative is maintainded by 21 LearnLine AG (http://www.21learnline.com) and Cyberconcepts IT Consulting (http://www.cyberconcepts.de).
The following software packages are recommended
Zope 2.7.2 (http://www.zope.org) or higher
Plone 2.0.4 (http://www.plone.org) or higher
Additional useful software in the context of e-LECT are tools for communicationand collaboration like
CMFBoard (www.cmfboard.org) or
PloneChat (http://ingeniweb.sourceforge.net/Products/PloneChat/).
