Project Description

Project resources

The Dateable bundle brings together functionality from the following products:

  • Plone4ArtistsCalendar
  • CalCore
  • Calendaring

It then provides the following packages for sharing amongst them:

  • Kalends: API for CalCore
  • Chronos: Views for calendar needs

What this means is that we can all develop our calendar-like methods and functionality in the CalCore and expose it using the Kalends API package.  We can also shore views and view classes for calendar-like views.

We hope to provide the following functionality when it is done:

  • Recurring Events
  • Slick Views with AJAX/KSS goodies
  • Pluggable Event Provider
  • Attendees
  • Invitations
  • iCal/vCal roundtrip (import/export/subscribe/publish)
  • i18n throughout
  • i10n throughout

This bundle basically branches everything, lobotomizes them, and centralizes common element into genericized packages.  Therefore, if you are working on a Calendar project, please consider joining this effort and pushing this forward, rather than everyone going off to their own corner and solving things over and over again.

More to follow as it happens.  This is a work in progress.  Please help us!
